Marriage for William Ball and Jane - of Bradenham
« on: Saturday 26 August 17 18:14 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

Looking for a marriage of William Ball and Jane, sometime before 1789 when their son Edmund was baptised in Bradenham. I'm not sure if the marriage was in Bradenham itself but I couldn't find one there on online transcriptions.

Any help appreciated.

No marriage for William Ball in BucksFHS, Bradenham PR's.  I cannot see a baptism for Edmund/Edward Ball in Bradenham either.

There is this marriage though.

Marriage.
6 Nov 1809   by Banns
Edmond BALL otp
Frances X KING otp
Witnesses - Henry Ball & Thomas Tipson.

Not sure if you have these burials in Bradenham.

7 Aug 1839.  William BALL aged 73 of Bradenham.
15 Jul 1858.  Jane BALL aged 90 of Downley, West Wycombe.

I would possibly suggest, a look for a marriage in West Wycombe, Hughenden or Radnage, and possibly Saunderton.

I had the marriage but not the burials - thank you.

I hear the marriage may be at Bledlow but the spouse doesn't quite match what was told me on the transcripts online.

Yes - I'm directly descended through Edmund and Frances' daughter Ann bap.1810.

The marriage I read about listed Jane Cary although the one on the lanchbury website doesn't say Jane.

From the website below:

The date I saw was July not June and it listed witnesss so I'm thinking it is more reliable.

1789
1 June Willm Ball & Ann Carey

The Lanchbury site, is not 100% reliable, as some of the actual records were very badly damaged when transcribed.  But it's good enough to give those extra clues. ;)

BucksFHS are more reliable. :)
