Buckingham marriage c1714
« on: Sunday 27 August 17 00:45 BST (UK) »
Hello,
I am trying to confirm a marriage in the parish of Buckingham c1714 and wondered if anyone could kindly help me, please?   I am looking for the marriage of Richard Franklin and Mary Burley, who is said to be of Gawcott.  The person who sent me this information did not say if it mentioned Richard's parish.  I suspect they had a child baptized shortly afterwards in Buckingham, before they moved to Whaddon.  If anyone could help me confirm this information, I would be very grateful.
Thank you,
Carolyn

My goodness, that was fast!  And the connection to Cosgrove was exactly what I wanted to see.  Thank you, Steve.  It is much appreciated.  I think the next thing to do is to contact the CBS to see if I can get a copy of the bonds and allegations associated with the marriage license.
Thanks again,
Carolyn

No, the marriage is not in the Bonds list.  That was the first place I checked. ;D

But there are quite a few other Franklins in the Bonds list. ;)

Here is one that maybe of interest.......!!!

Thomas Franklin(of Cosgrove), to Elizabeth Odell, (of Pottersbury, Northants).  Bond granted at Wolverton. 9 June 1752.
