Help creating pdf charts in FTM 14
« on: Sunday 27 August 17 09:23 BST (UK) »
Hi All,

I seem to have a reoccurring problem when trying to print charts from Family Tree Maker 2014.

When I look at it on the screen it says it is 20 pages but when I share it as a pdf so I can print it suddenly it's 40 pages.

When I open the pdf there is a page of the chart followed by a  blank page, then another page of the chart and another blank page and so on.

What am I doing wrong? Why is it adding all these blank pages?

Thanks,

Michael

I don't use FTM, but have noticed problems in other software, so . . . .

Check the printer settings in FTM - are they set to A4, or American Letter size?
A4, as used in the UK, is  8.26 inches by 11.69 inches (210mm by 297mm).
US Letter paper is 8.5 inches by 11 inches (215.9mm by 279.4mm).

Thanks for the reply, I'll double check but I'm pretty sure it's set to A4.

I will check though.
