I never found a marriage for them either but since it's likely that he and Georgina never divorced... Since his family were in Belfast it's unlikely that anyone in Birmingham would have known that he had a wife in Belfast and wasn't married to Gertrude.

What I haven't found yet is his arrival back in the U.K. in 1912. It's possible Georgina didn't realise she was pregnant when he left in March (if son James was full term she'd have been roughly 2 months).

Looks like Joseph was still in Auburn, N.Y. in May 1912-

The Auburn Citizen, 15 May 1912: An Enjoyable Evening Last evening a very pleasant social evening was    street where friends of Mr. and Mrs. John McCann and family met to give them a hearty welcome to this city. … a pleasing programme of vocal music was rendered as follows: … Queen of the Earth, Joseph Falloon… [a Mrs. Acheson was one of the ladies serving tea].

Added- any photos would likely be with descendants of Falloons in Belfast.

A J. Falloon played in cricket match 28 July 1912 for Auburn team against Rochester. Also played cricket for Auburn in June.

What does Gertrude's death certificate say about her name and marital status?

Hello ive recently been doing my own family tree, Joseph P Falloon was my grandmothers father, apparently he came to Birmingham circa 1916/17 he met Gertrude Harris and had 4 daughters Poppy,Edna, Florrie & my Nan Lillian born bham 1918-1927, the addresses you already have are correct and he died 1953, there is no marriage certificate here and Gertrudes death certificate is HARRIS so suggest never married, he never returned to Belfast as im aware, his wife Georgina died in Belfast 1957. 1911 cencus has him living with georgina at her moms (elizabeth forbes) address 33 crumlin road shankhill along with his daughter elizabeth falloon. Have no photos but im looking into it. My Nan Lillian Falloon married my Grandad Hugh Patrick Gillespie originally from London Derry and had 9 children
