Many thanks also to JJen for the info you supplied in your posts .
Just wondering about that freesearch you mentioned.  Could you tell me Exactly what a freesearch is ? And what is the date /year .is that 1911 census ? Also how did you get the 1964 address for percy c bantock ,was that from a voters list ?
Has anyone access to other voters lists for that area for different years ?
Can anyone tell me if he appears on any telephone books for that area ? Thanks again for the help.

The free search is on FindMyPast, you will be able to gain a basic transcription of the 1939 register details. To gain full access you need a subscription -

http://www.findmypast.co.uk/1939register

The address details for Percy and John H is from Electoral Registers.

JJen ref the John H bantock in Hackney . The marriage you found in 1922 !!! Looks good ...but on 1911 census john h age is  Given as 4 which would make him about 15/16 in 1922. Could be a little older ? Not quite sure of actual DOB .
 It's possible.... but ?

It's possible as he was born in q3 1906, however having looked a bit further the details of John H Bantock, marriage and Electoral registers could be the John H Bantock born 17 Apr 1897 died 1981, Hackney.

Therefore it would appear further searching is required for the John H Bantock born in 1906.

Ref. Phone book entry ,did they refer to any particular year or does it mean he had a phone number at that address for each / all of those years ?
