another missing marriage
« on: Tuesday 29 August 17 21:12 BST (UK) »
Im trying to find another marriage in Kent, maybe Gravesend.  I have looked and looked and cant find the marriage I think Im looking for.

I have found William (1811) and Rebecca (1815) Green on the census with their children and with Rebeccas mother Elizabeth King in Gravesend. So expected to find a marriage of William Green and Rebecca King before 1841 but unable to find one.

Could anyone help me please,
Thanks
Jan

Couple of things to consider:

1. The marriage may have been before 1837 so you will need to look in parish records rather than on
    FreeBMD.

2. Could Rebecca's mother have remarried and so Rebecca's maiden name wouldn't be King? Were
any children born to William and Rebecca after 1837 as you can check mmn on the GRO site?

Following on from Rosie99's post, the image from the Finsbury Register can be seen on image no.370.  Finsbury marriages 1831 to 1837.
