The FAVELS of Huntingdonshire
« on: Wednesday 30 August 17 15:53 BST (UK) »
Hi

Stephen FAVELL (Favel, Favil, Favill, etc) and his wife Sarah SMART were my 4x GGP. They married in 1796 in Brampton and went on to have 7 children. The children were Elizabeth (b1792), John (b1797), Frances (b1799), Mary (b1801), Rebecca (b1804), William (b 1807) and Maria (b 1813). Elizabeth is possibly doubtful, having been born several years before they married. I have baptisms for all of them in Brampton, apart from Elizabeth.

However, I have precious little for any of them after their baptisms, with the exception of Frances, my 3x GGM. I can't find very much of Huntingdonshire records online, but I would like to know what happened to her siblings. Did they marry? When and where did they die.

I would be grateful for anything that anyone can dig up.

That looks very possible. Are Huntingdonshire marriages online anywhere? I'm wondering about when and where the marriage to Ann was.

Many thanks for all the work so far. The death of Frances is wrong, as she was my 3GGM and I know she moved to the Bermondsey area in South London, where she raised her children, before passing in 1871.

But thanks for the other information. I really need a source of Huntingdon marriages, not least for Ann and now Rebecca.
