tracking down Malvern.Vic warhero relatives F/O Ronald C Scarlett
« on: Thursday 31 August 17 07:49 BST (UK) »
For my research I trying to get in touch with the relatives of F/O Ronald Cave Scarlett RAAF. At the age of 27 he took part in a Wellington Bomber crew(57 Squadron) as a navigator. On the 27th December 1941 the aircraft was shotdown over Someren,The Netherlands and almost the entire crew killed.  It is my intention to erect a small token near the crashsite in memory to this crew and I would like to get in touch with the relatives of the crew. I am in touch already with three other crew relatives. Ronald is the son of F.H.Scarlett and of Alice Annie Scarlett of Malvern,Vic. His birthplace was Caulfield.Vic. His occupation was commercial traveller. Ron is buried along with his comrades at Eindhoven General Cemetery (War grave section) in The Netherlands.
Thank you so much for your help in advance,
Adrian
Bomber Command research during WW2 in the South Eastern part of The Netherlands. Especially aircraft crash research and locating their crews.

Hi,

The Department of Veteran's Affairs have a widely distributed newsletter and there is a noticeboard where people can place notices.

I think John Cave SCARLETT is a brother of Ronald.  He was living with Alice Annie SCARLETT in 1949.  Here is his WW2 service summary with NOK Alice SCARLETT http://www.ww2roll.gov.au/Veteran.aspx?serviceId=A&veteranId=432698

Just adding WW2 summary for Ronald Cave SCARLETT
