Is anyone else having issues with searches on SP?

I have tried accessing using  different search engines ( Google Chrome and Safari) but, I found the site has been running really slowly for the last few days.

Also my searches seems to drop specified area criteria ,  thus returning every possible throughout the country which takes several minutes to complete.

Wondered if anyone else has found this.....before I email my complaint

Thanks Rosie, I did try to locate any thread on this subject but I couldn't find one.
I looked in every section except  The Common Room... Duh

Got a seat booked at the GRO for tomorrow and wanted to get a head start on possible records but, it's going so slow that I've given up.

Continual bebugging error notice on specified searches is driving me nuts.!

It was only that I had seen it the other day so just put Scotlands people into search within '10' days

Hope you manage to find what you want for tomorrow.

I was having problems too and thought it was my tablet/broadband connection! It kept showing some Ajax error.

Hi all,

Not sure how often you all use SP but I noticed quite a while back when searching, having maybe been on deaths & moving to births or census' etc. when choosing options for places & then pressing search I was often not getting results which others such as MonicaL (a fantastic researcher) was able to find after I'd searched & I kept thinking I was doing things wrong until more recently with research of my own (with much knowledge) & knowing something should be there, that's when I realised that the changeover from one place to another is chronic to say the least  ???

I could get a 'slow boat to China' & back by the time the options do a changeover  ;D

I don't know what on earth they've done but it isn't good & I also thought initially when I discovered the snail pace that it was my comp or internet connection  :-\

Seems progress nowadays should be renamed as 'regress'  ???

That said, we have the best system in the world at a great price & a pretty good navigating system when you compare many others!!!  ;)

The IT team just need to get it right & if things are slow because of 'in-house' comp work at least let us know what to expect as the speed is not great.

I wonder if they are adding additional info...I could put up with the slow speed if I knew there was a wee surprise at the end of it  :P

Trying to do a search just now I got a message saying SP is very busy, try again later.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.
