Looking for info on Janet Anderson born 18/07/1807, Carnock, Fife.

Hi folks,

Looking for any info on Janet Anderson born 18/07/1807, Carnock, Fife.

Janet Anderson is my 3rd great grand aunt. After the birth certificate I cant find any trace of Janet Anderson. Checked BDM's and census records but no trace.

Parents of Janet Anderson were -
John Anderson and
Barbara Hume who were married in Dunfermline, 12 December, 1806.
 
Barbara Hume was found in 1841 census living in Dunfermline at Beveridgewell, with her son Stuart after death of her husband John Anderson.

John and Barbara Anderson had 4 children -

Janet the oldest as above
John born 1809 (emigrated to Australia 1863)
Thomas born 1812
Stuart (or Stewart) born 1814 (emigrated to Australia 1859)

Looking for any trace of Janet Anderson after the birth as its my current brick wall!

You did say 'looking for any trace' and I don't know if this is a faint trace a few generations on or not.
In 1891 Janet Anderson Mitchell was (leaving out most detail) born in Carnbee, Fife to parents who were Mitchell and(formerly) Morris, married in 1890 in 'Scoonie'?. I seem to recall the surname Anderson on one side or the other but haven't anything written down I'm afraid. May be completely unrelated but your query rang a bell.

Looking over old posting I find (thanks Monica) that

so unlikely to be related to the one you're seeking unless she's, say, a daughter with her mothers surname - though might be a neice. Good luck with your search.

As you said I don't think they are connected. Unfortunately 'Janet Anderson' was one of the most common names in Scotland at that time. I'm guessing she either died young or married before first census of 1841. I've searched on both of these topics but nothing found.
