looking for a photo of a house in Higham
« on: Friday 01 September 17 16:04 BST (UK) »
Hi

I'm looking for a photo of a house in Higham Kent.
The address: 4 Frances Cottages
                    Forge Lane
                    Higham Kent

I can't find it on Google Maps, so I guess it doesn't exist anymore ? Maybe there are photos or postcards somewhere ? Any help grately appreciated.

Kind regards

One of Frances Cottages is for sale

If you go to streetview there is a name plaque between the cream and white cottages on the left.  Looks like the road has been renumbered.

Hi Baerkat, how do you know that these are the Frances Cottages and the street has been renumbered ? So there are  5 Frances Cottages ?

Using streetview, if you zoom in to the name plaque using the + button, you can see it says Frances Cottages.

It looks as though Frances Cottages were numbered separately but are now numbered with Forge Lane. There are 5 cottages so number 4 would have been next to the end - but which end ???
Interesting that the plaque at the other end of the row of cottages says 1902 when there were people living at Frances Cottages in 1901.
