Hi,
All of my Broun/Brown ancestors would be in most of those cemeteries.
I'm interested in all the Broun/Brown pre-1855 inscriptions if you have them.
One particular one that we have been searching for for years is from James Brown to his grandparents, possibly Ebenezer Broun of Finderlie and Christian Thomson in the old Orwell churchyard.
Being on the other side of the world makes it hard for us to find them.
Anyhow, any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Greg.

I thought Benares was in India but it looks like there's another one in Canada.
There is a google book of Scots/American deaths and this is a wee bit of it.

I cannot find reference to any of them.
There is one in Portmoak Churchyard:
2 Robert Heggie in Carnack 23.11.1937, 91, wife Isabella Arthur 26.10.1928, 86
and that is the nearest I can find.

Thanks for looking them up. They would have died in the 1850s.

Buckhyne,

Matilda Miller (Gray) died 1855 and buried in Fossoway churchyard.

Anything on her parents James Gray and Janet Dick would be welcome, i have nothing on them, but are Kinross-shire people.

John Miller and Mary Drummond, married 1800 in Fossoway.

Plus any other Millers in Fossoway and Tullibole, they were quite numerous in that sparsely populated area.

Cheers,
Derek.
