Thanks for that - If Williamina did indeed travel to Canada to visit Andrew more than once, chances are if she may also be recorded under her married name - and that manifest if found, made provide a clue to Andrew.

I do see in Scotland's people:

Andrew Crawford SUTHERLAND
Agnes Thomson McKINLEY
Married 1931, Dumbarton

May be a red herring, but .....

This is likely to be the index entry:

SUTHERLAND, JAMES
M, 1904
Ref: 573/1 2187
Registered Paisley

I searched 1900-1911 Paisley, Renfrew.

I see Williamina married William LOW in Dumbarton 1926.

I'd hazard a not-so-wild guess that the 1931 Marriage in Dumbarton is her brother after all.

He may have gone to Canada after that?

Does the addresses  1 CLYDE Street  or 12 STOWANS road in Dumbarton mean anything to you?

Found an Agnes SUTHERLAND travelling back to Canada in 1948 and 1953 with sons. She gave those address as her last UK residence.

Agnes Thomson McKinlay seems to have been born in 1910 in Dumbarton so the age on the above shipping records is about right. There are UK incoming records for her and the two children on the Samaria in March 1953.

Weatherall, Greer (Ireland & Scotland)
Hamilton, Johnston, Dawson, Rennie, Wright (Clackmannanshire)

As well as trying to match the address' to Taylor111's known family - I'm trying to work out if the surname CURRIE is associated with Agnes McKINLAY?

Because I think, the 5 year old on the 1948 shipping manifest I saw, is this person:

https://obittree.com/obituary/ca/ontario/sault-ste-marie/northwood-funeral-home-cremation--reception-centre/donald-sutherland/2190106/

There are birth registrations in SP  in Dumbarton that fits 2 of the siblings listed in the obit, and the name of himself.
