Beamish Museum - 'Dig for Victory ' Event
« on: Saturday 02 September 17 09:11 BST (UK) »
Beamish Museum is holding a 'Dig for Victory ' Event which is on now until Sunday 3 September.

We went yesterday and had a wonderful experience of what life was like on the home front during the second World War.  We spent most of the day at the Home Farm area and the time went so quickly as there is so much to see and experience.  The costumes and hair styles of the staff and volunteers (and some visitors) were authentic and very enjoyable to see.

I highly recommend this event to anyone interested in what life was like on the home front. :)
