You can ask for the birth record of Jeanne Charlotte Elizabeth FELIX through "Le Fil d'Ariane". It's a free service provided by volunteers. 2 queries a month for Paris.

According to this article in a law newspaper, http://www.enap.justice.fr/ARCHIVE/18791107.pdf (first page) Sarah FELIX left a will. For what it's worth, the article doesn't mention a daughter.

Hello
Can I say I'm the one looking at the Martyn /Crawshaw family history for a friend. And everytime on log on to the Computer I seem to see more revelations.
It all gets quite shocking.

Roy you've been magnificent!

Thanks too to everyone else.

It all looked so respectable .A Yorkshire builder Richard Crawshaw left a large amount to his sons including Hiram born 1838  who turned out to be a jockey.
Then his wife was illegitimate and not the daughter of a respectable Colonel
Then father was a Rake, also illegitimate from India
Grandfather was a Sherriff of Calcutta and Francis Mountjoy Martyn had a mistress who slept with Napolean.
Now Great granny Jeanne is an actress who follows her mother and aunt onto the Stage!
What next?

Really everyone a pat on the back.
WOW
