His dad is called Felix McGuinness from Armagh.

Why do you think 'from Armagh'?
1856 Naturalization record says Leitrim-

1900 census says born Nov.1834- https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M97P-FPW

Death certificate extract gives parents as Felix & Bridget (the actual certificate may list Bridget's maiden name if the informant knew that detail)-

Cemetery may, or may not, contain family details, exact place of birth, etc.-

Thanks aghadowey, I wasnt too sure with there being two naturalisation certs, one says ireland one says leitrim. On reexamination, I can see that the other birth is 1866.
I have a dna match, who is the ggg grandson, his records and something else I have read said Bernard was born in Derry and Felix, Bernards father was born in Armagh.

I will try and relocate them and check again. I have all the providence records and the death record saying Felix and Bridget are the parents of Felix. Also the other trees on Ancestry are saying Londonderry/Armagh and Bridget Hanly as the mother, with a marriage cert but on reexamination thats 1878.

I am hoping to find siblings of parents of Bernard if any, and of Felix. I think I am on the right track as I already have Felix Bernard McCrossan 1916 1972 as part of another dna match.

Thanks for the help

So I don't know if this will help you. I am a direct descendant of Bernard McGuinness. I have not found other siblings. He did have three children and two (I think) step-children. He died in 1902. Parents Felix and Bridget, but I've not been able to find out anything about them. His son, Edwin Daniel, was the first Catholic mayor of Providence; he had one daughter who--if I remember correctly--did not marry. He son, John Bernard, was my great-grandfather. John had five sons. Daniel was my grandfather. Bernard is buried in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI.

Would love to hear more about your connection with him.
