Beautiful photos, I to was inspired, I do a lot of cross stitch and went on to complete 2, one for OHs GG uncle lost at sea and another for a family member.....both now have a place on my tree too..... both WW2.......:)

They were at Kirkwall Cathedral in June 2016 as "The Weeping Window" in time for the Battle of Jutland commemoration.

I found "The Shrouds of the Somme" installation just as moving, but in a different way.  It brought you face to face with the physical bodies of the 19,240 soldiers killed on the first day of the battle of the Somme.
