Sorry - I posted the only birth/baptism that I could see that could relate to a Thomas William Short born about 1886 in Wandsworth,albeit with the extra names.   His father appears have married in the name Thomas Rose Short and been born with the same name - although for some reason he uses the first name John and I can't see the family post 1891??

It was a longshot that he might be your Thomas but I did think it worth mentioning as when his possible sister Violet Louisa Rose Short was baptised her father was listed as a slaughterman.
