There's a short report  in several newspapers 19-21 September 1821 of the capital conviction at Yarmouth Sessions of J Plummer, 17 years old for stealing from his employer (J Proctor, a bombasine weaver) .   The Recorder was in tears when passing the sentence.

If you are searching for it on FindMyPast or BNA, searching for bombasine brings up more results  than Plummer.

I found this at the National Archive...
Reference: HO 17/39/4

2 collective petitions (20 people, including the prisoner's wife Sarah Plummer; and 8 people, including the prisoner, mayor, recorder and magistrates, of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk) on behalf of John Plummer convicted at 'the Borough of Great Yarmouth' on 13 September 1821 of stealing in a dwelling house. There are a covering letters from Sarah Plummer and I G Fisher, mayor of Yarmouth, and an unsigned note stating that the prisoner's sentence is to be commuted to 14 years transportation. Grounds for clemency: youth (17 years), of previous good character; in employment for the last 4 years, provides money to help feed and educate his siblings and the prisoner was led astray by others, the mother petitions for the sentence to be reduced to 7 years transportation and that he may not be sent out of the country. Initial sentence: death, commuted to 14 years transportation. Annotated: 'Nil'. Fh4.

It says it is available to download at findmypast.
