Family JAMES - RSA/Zim

Am trying to start pulling together family history on father's side in RSA and Zimbabwe:   but nil contact following mother's divorce in 1960 and return to UK makes this very difficult.

Available info:

Father:   Arthur Edward James // DOB 10 Dec 1919 (Pretoria?) // Names of paternal grandparents not known but lived in SA.  Married Bulawayo March '54 - Mary Elsie Moore // Divorced 1959 in Bulawayo Court with Decree Nisi 17 July 1960.   Carriage and Wagon Examiner, Rhodesia Railways?   Possibly 3 siblings:  1st - Name Not Known;  2nd - Olive (also in Zim?) / 3rd - Brother who is assumed to have died young (TB).   Believe Arthur Edward may have been much younger 3rd child born to second marriage ...........

Mother:  Mary Elsie Moore - DOB 4 May 1926 Scotland;  nurse:   1951 to S Rhodesia as nursing sister Que Que Hospital, also Bulawqayo Hosp and Lady Rodwell Maternity Hosp;   moved to Broken Hill (RTZ Mine Hosp);  2 children - son(born Broken Hill 1956) and daughter (born Scotland on visit home 1957).

All I have to work on is my own birth certificate and hearsay ................   Mother is now deceased and I have almost no opportunity to add to the above without help.   Have been trawling the Death Notices Index etc for Zimbabwe but nothing thus far;   certainly nothing I can work with in terms of SA.

Can anyone help?

Hi Gaj,

I've taken out the details of their children as we avoid posting details of living or possible living persons.

There are some death registers for Zimbabwe on familysearch:

No sight of him there, which suggests he either returned to SA or passed away after 1977.
