Birth registration in Houghton-le-Spring

Would anyone be able to look for a birth certificate at Houghton-le-Spring, Co.Durham please,  The name of the child is James W.T.Farley and year of birth/registration is 1915. We have been told that the full name could possibly be James Wreford Thompson Farley, the only clue is that his mother's name was given just as "Farley" and he would not give any further information about his birth but it is thought that he was adopted.  His family would like to know something of their origins if possible and would be very grateful for some help as we are not able to visit the record office in Durham.

Unfortunately we aren't able to do this for you, there is no open access to birth certificates.
The only way to get the details is to pay for the certificate which you can purchase from the GRO (if not already, you will need to register https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/register.asp?UserType=Individual )

The GRO Index search shows the birth as:
FARLEY, JAMES  WREFORD THOMPSON     -        
GRO Reference: 1915  D Quarter in HOUGHTON-LE-SPRING  Volume 10A  Page 930

The "-" is where Mother's Maiden Name is usually shown, and tends to indicate no father mentioned.
I.E. an illegitimate birth.
