Gosh, what a lot of look ups ?

I looked at Caroline Winch, she appears to have been married 1855 to Richard, looks like Hurley, her father James, is this the right Caroline marrying in Hillingdon reg dist?, have you looked for her on the following census 1861 ?

Yes, her husband was Richard James Kearley. I got all my information on her from following censuses. She died in 1904, probably in Writtle, Essex, as she was living with her daughter and son-in-law in Uxbridge, in 1901. The couple had a son in Writtle in 1902.

I realise there's a lot, but I'm hoping that if I put a lot out there, I might come across some distant relative! It would also be exciting if they had some information too.

Indeed, have you added your own interests?

At the bottom of every RootsChat page, in the dark brown box, underneath "Your Tools" you will find "Surname Interests".

Interestingly there is a Caroline on 1841, is she the right one but no father James and Giles is a coachman

Caroline 12   all born in County

1851
Mary is now a widow aged 65, Giles is now 26, so Giles senior has died by 1851

There is a marriage Giles Winch to Mary Gould 04/11/1810 St Mary Newington

1861 Caroline is a servant along with a Sarah Winch in Uxbridge, Caroline aged 20 and Sarah aged 23, Caroline is showing as being born Essex Bow , Sarah in Uxbridge, possibly why Caroline married in that area

Winch seems to be a common surname within Essex

I have viewed that record before, but the father name confused me. It was also mistranscribed as Wench. I have also tried to investigate any link with the Sarah Winch, but to no avail
