The recent inclusion in Findmypast of an index to Lancashire wills
https://search.findmypast.co.uk/search-world-Records/lancashire-wills-and-probate-1457-1858
as well as the earlier index to the LDS films here
https://user.xmission.com/~nelsonb/lws.htm

Prompted me to revisit this.
Having not been able to get to Preston , and not wanting to order in a great number of films (while they were still orderable) meant I was stuck. But the LDS were supposed to be digitising these

THEY HAVE
You need to be signed in, you can see the wills at home, you cannot print or download
But you can see them
Be prepared for long periods looking through to find the one you want!
I have already spent days here

It may be possible to save a copy if you access them at an LDS Family History Centre.

At least if you can view at home and make a note of the image number, won't take so long to find them visiting a centre. ;D

I am struggling to find images of wills listed in the index, are they all digitised or just certain sections? The will I was looking for is Robert Gardner, merchant, 1814 Amounderness and I have been through all three pages for F-K 1814. Any suggestions?
Newson, Steavenson, Walker, Taylor, Dobson, Gardner, Clark, Wilson, Smith, Crossland, Goldfinch, Burnett, Hebdon, Peers, Strother, Askew, Bower, Beckwith, Patton, White, Turner, Nelson, Gilpin, Tomlinson, Thompson, Spedding, Wilkes, Carr, Butterfield, Ormandy, Wilkinson, Cocking, Glover, Pennington, Bowker, Kitching, Langhorn, Haworth, Kirkham.

It appears this should be on film 99281 for Amounderness deanery. When I get to that entry, instead of a camera icon, there is a film icon. I guess it has not yet been digitised. Incidentally, unlike the ones that I have been looking at, many/most of these Amounderness ones show a camera and key icon, I.e. Viewable in an FHC Only.
