« on: Monday 11 September 17 11:30 BST (UK) »
I'm looking for more information on an edward Loftus and his military career. He was born 2nd Jan 1892 in Dublin and Married 19th April 1915. On marriage cert it details his address as Portabello Barracks Dublin and occupation as soldier.

I've not been able to find out anything about his military career etc can anyone help?

thanks

There don't appear to be any identifiable records for him (you may know that 70% or so of Great War records were destroyed by bombing in WW2).  A number of medal cards in the name do exist but they have no identifying detail.

You would have said if his number was on the cert - are there any children's birth certs with name and number I wonder?
