East Peckham (Laurences Square and Boulogne Cottages)
« on: Wednesday 13 September 17 03:14 BST (UK) »
In the 1891 Census of Reg Dist: Malling  Parish: East Peckham for Thomas and Mary Baker the residence appears to be Laurences Square.  Does anybody know where Laurences Square would have been please.
In 1881 Census their address was Boulogne Cottages, after much searching I think I have found these cottages, otherwise known as Bullen cottages, but could someone confirm that they are the cottages in Bullen Lane between Bullen Farm and Crowhurst Farm.
I would appreciate any input.

The 1881 census shows Boulogne Cottages next door to Bullen Cottlages and this map should show both  http://maps.nls.uk/view/102343585#zoom=4&lat=7964&lon=9358&layers=BT

Having more problems with Laurences Square but the 1891 census indicates that it was part of the Pound

Thank you Kay for your prompt reply.
The attached map shows Boulogne cottages as I thought, so thank you.
Laurence could always be Lawrence I suppose.

Your reply and Kay's reply referring to Laurence's Square in The Pound gives me a good indication of the area.
Appreciate your reply Shaun, Thank you. :)
