Correcting family tree.

The lines issue is so that all those people at the bottom of the screen can fit onto the chart

Where does that other list come from? I'v never seen anything like it in all the years I've been doing Ancestry?

OTOH, I notice you're on iPad?
I wouldn't dirty my fingers on an iPad, iPhone, iPod or any relayed item!

One last attempt.  Those three Hannah Ashton's look like people on an Ancestry tree and I think what has happened is that you have added sources and each time, because you haven't connected the record with the Hannah Ashton already in your tree, then it has added a new Hannah Ashton to go with the record you are adding.

If you are still able to edit you need to use the option to merge all the Hannah Ashton's together as one person and do the same with anybody else for whom you have more than one person when it should only be one.

I'd thought you were trying to merge several people (who were the same) to show them as the same person? Isn't that simply done by "merging" them?

But, apparently, deleting one entry deleted them all, which is what I don't get
