Not helping with finding Elizabeth Naylor - think you might be better off posting a new query about that as it will get lost in this thread.

Going back to your original query though I think maybe there is some confusion.

I gather that you have got an ancestry tree but that you can't now make any changes as you no longer subscribe.

Presumably you are now keeping your information elsewhere and it is on this software that you are having problems.  If so, what software is it?

Hi I can make changes but can't view certificates in full. But even when was paying subscription, problem was the same. I presume it must be the way I'm adding information.  The same person can be on my list 3 times, but tree has person only once, just not next to one another. Hope this makes sense x

Hi no sorry I am still confused. 'The same person can be on my list 3 times, but tree has person only once, just not next to one another.'

So you have a person on your list 3 times and each entry is shown next to the preceding one?

If the person is only on the (Ancestry?) tree once, who do you want that person to be next to?

For them to be shown in the same manner you need the same entries in each place.

Confused , me too. Never seen anyone else's tree so maybe it is normal that a brother & sister can have a long line between them but with same mum & dad.  My list where you search for family names ,  it's there I can have 3 profiles for same person x

Sorry you have lost me now - will have to hope someone else can help.

Just to say that you can look at any public tree on Ancestry so choose one at random and look to see if that is set out the same way.

If your tree is the one I think it is, then it's being treated as Private so can't help with the 3-in-a-list problem

This snapshot gives an idea of how separated brothers and sisters can get if there are oodles of children - the white rectangle is the size of my screen

Middlesex: KING,  MUMFORD, COOK, ROUSE, GOODALL, BROWN
Oxford: MATTHEWS, MOSS
Kent: SPOONER, THOMAS, KILLICK, COLLINS
Cambs: PRIGG, LEACH
Hants: FOSTER
Montgomery: BREES
Surrey: REEVE

Once you end a subscription (I have, too), you can continue to edit your tree. In fact I have about 12 trees on Ancestry! ;D

But you will not be allowed to see any Ancestry specific information, or images.
That includes census images, BMD certificates, etc.
You WILL be able to see any images that you own, and have added yourself.

I'm still not understanding your siblings/long line/family name list problem?
You have completely lost me there? ???

Thank you everyone. Glad you let me know I too like to edit tree.  I find I can't view other people's or items I put on years ago x never mind 😊
