FTM 2017 disk from McKiev - Installation Problems

PC OS windows 8.1 64 bit

Using the above system I am trying to install my new FTM 2017 recently received from McKiev however it will not install due to .NET Framework 4.6.1 a prerequisite for the install, error code
HRESULT 0x8e5e0147.  I have tried getting round this by installing 4.7 but i get the same error.

I have deleted the cbs log too as suggested on the web.

Has anybody any suggestions that I can try with 8.1 please?

.Net v 4.6 and upwards are for Windows 10 which may be your problem - although reading the FTM site at https://support.mackiev.com/225797-Issues-installing-Family-Tree-Maker  it appears to suggest that Security software may interfere with the installation. (The .Net discussion group also suggest that security software may be the problem)
