Charles Kinsela and Sons Funeral Directors CDs
« on: Friday 15 September 17 05:40 BST (UK) »
Hi there
I saw a post of 11 years ago and didn't like to jump on that one but wonder if anyone has access to the above for a look up please?

Am looking for a funeral notice or burial place for
Edith GOSTELOW bn and died 3 Mar 1873 and buried the next day. Her DC states that Kinselas were the funeral directors.

Many thanks
Meegan

Is this the funeral notice for the mother of the infant?
She also died 1873. (April)
It states to Necropolis (Sydney)

Would you not think this is where you would also locate the child?
Have you inquired?

Edith GOSTELOW
Date 1873
Father  John
Mother  A. Elizabeth
Year 1873
Sydney
Reg 329

Hi Sue
I did a Trove search for Edith but couldn't find a funeral notice for her. I hadn't thought of reading/noticing Alice's funeral notice (do have it) so assume you are right - that Edith is buried at the Necropolis. I assume that is Rookwood but there is no record of any of the Gostelows in their search site
According to her DC. Edith died "premature birth" and Alice 3 weeks later with laryngeal TB - so who knows how much the TB had to do with the prematurity or Edith's death
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
Cheers
Meegan

Suggest you contact Rookwood.  However, you probably won't get far unless you know which section to contact, i.e. what religion?
