Like everyone else I can't find a marriage either for a Nimrod GARD(E)NER (tried variations of surname) to Mary BROWN
There is one on FreeBMD in 1842 Daventry for Nimrod GARDNER,
3 other females but sadly no Mary and there doesn't appear to be a missing female name
Tried familysearch, Cheshire OPC, Cheshire BMD too
Have you found Mary on the 1841 census?
I see they were living in Birkenhead district 1901
