Start with the marriage of Arthur & Elizabeth on FreeBMD (link in previous post) then start looking for McGunness children with mother's maiden name McGuire.

It would depend upon which part of Liverpool they were living in when the births were registered.

Have you looked on the 1939 Register on Findmypast?

It would all be straightforward but for another McGuinness/McGuire marriage in Liverpool in 1937.

The other couple appear to have had one child which makes nine Mcguinness/McGuire children in total.

At what point are you actually starting from? Do you have a connection to Arthur & Elizabeth and are trying to trace the family forward? or are you starting with their son Francis Joseph (mentioned in your first post) and wanting to find his siblings and their descendants?

If the 2 surnames are very common, especially with the same area, then buying certificates might be the only way to be sure you've the correct people.

I was starting from Arthur Mcguinness born in Liverpool in 1930 to  Elizabeth McGuire . I had one childs name to go off. That being Francis. I have them now, however the two marriages, same name same area makes me a bit more wary.
Thank you for your help.
