What you see is the full cert, Irish Certs don't have as much information as Scottish ones.

Thanks Mary yes it does look like Alexander Place x

Sinnan, disappointed but thought it was too good to be true that I'd find a mother's name as well.

Yes dathai that's the very ones. Unity and Joseph's children all ended up in Greenock and then some moved onto Australia/Canada.

So I wonder what to make of the information I've found on Unity and Joseph Carlin/Carland. The ages at death stated are wonky if they married in 1855. It is definitely the right couple. But her age at death in 1898 is given as 52 and his age at death in 1902 is given as 60. So obviously there is something wrong there which doesn't help me at all to pinpoint the births of either.

Daniel Lynch, Unity's father, died in 1893 and age was given as 84 which seems quite right. I guess it is quite common for ages to be wrong but this seems quite out. ::)

IF the Marriage date is correct and you estimate they were 20 when they married, then you have rough birth tears.

LDS gives year of Marriage BUT is it correct??   The ages at death stated are wonky  IF  they married in 1855.

Have you found the Marriage or are you just presuming LDS are correct?

Yes many people didn't know, or tell anyone their correct ages IF they knew.
