One (I think) surname from a 1639 Will

I think that all four instances of the surname underlined are Farrer but would appreciate confirmation from the experts.

Thanks

Thanks, your tuition is starting to pay dividends  :)

Can someone possibly decipher the forename at the end of the first line of this clip? My thought is Joane (wife of Thomas Edwards of London)

thanks again

The first five letters do look to be J-o-a-n-e, but is that the end of the word?

There seems to be more - or another word placed straight after the e.

Is it a PCC will?  Can you supply the name and date?

Nicholas Sanford 03.04.1639

It's a note in the margin at the top of page 3

It's hard to be sure, Edward.

The style of J used in this name can also be found in one of the mentions of James ffinch on the previous page.  Mostly the writer uses a different form of J.

The word in the main text is mony.  It starts well away from the note and is part of lawfull mony, so there's no issue of interference from the main text.

That corner of the page is very soiled/suffering from print-through.

On balance, I think it probably is Joane, followed by an extraneous mark.
