Richard Chambers (Born circa 1789, Dublin)
« on: Monday 18 September 17 22:48 BST (UK) »
I've recently found that the above gentleman was the brother of my ggg-grandfather, and that he was born in Dublin (He enlisted in the British army, and then settled in Suffolk) . I'm completely unfamiliar with how to search Irish records. I wonder if anyone would be so kind as to help me start, please ?
My ggg-grandfather was called Ralph, born about 1783. He died in London, but ironically, I've less knowledge on him.

Thank you. How exhaustive is this list ? Would there be churches whose records have not yet been incorporated into the database ? I can't find a marriage between a John Chambers and a Catherine.
As a matter of interest, roughly what percentage of Dublin's population would have been Protestant at that time ?.
