Hi,

I tried to read your other thread http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=482775. but it strayed a bit, I think.

Is that your starting point - John Walsh and Mary Furlong, parents of Bridget and others? Are you trying to go back from that couple?

Think Anne is trying to figure out what happened to this child.
Bridget born Feb 1880 to John Walsh, Sailor and Mary Furlong, King St.
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1880/02882/2056246.pdf

Have you considered the possibility she may have died young or do you know from family that she married?

There is only her birth showing for a Bridget Walsh born 1880 Wexford and only one death for Bridget Walsh 1880, she is indexed as age 0 Wexford.
Death cert image not online yet.

Edited to add, I don't see a Bridget Walsh born 1879 that the death could be, but it's only speculation until the cert comes online.

Hi Sinann,

See my reply #4 re Bridget.
I don't think it is particularly Bridget who is the focus, she is here, I know,  but perhaps a way to find more information re her brother who is the ancestor.
The thread I linked to is confusing because other posters then mentioned their Walsh relatives.
I thought it might be best to start at the beginning (again) but that was just my opinion. ;)

I agree, it is too confusing!!

I got the impression she knows what happened to John ( her grandfather) and was now trying to follow up on his siblings.

Yes Haywood is correct.  The main people I am looking for are John Walsh and Mary Furlong, my gt.grandparents.  I know that granddad John Joseph was born king street 1882.  School records from Christian brothers confirm this.  3 brothers William, James and Frank.  On grandads marriage certificate address is Castlehill Street and confirmed in 1901 census.  His parents both age 40.  As no sisters on form I assumed granddad was oldest child but have since been told that there were 2 older sisters.  One married a photographer who had a shop on Main Street? And if memory serves me right his name was Murphy.  Of Granddads brothers, William died in 1905 at 19, James married but disappeared leaving wife and children and Frank sailed off to America with no family so sisters are my last hope.  This originally began in Walsh of Wexford some time ago.  Here endeth the lesson for today, Anne.

So you only have the name of one sister?
