AN AGED MAN MURDERED.

Martin Ferris of Morrisonville, NY., Found Dead In His Stable. (Special to the Free Press)

Platteburgh. N. Y., Jan. 4. Martin Ferris, aged about 75 years, living alone three miles from Morrisonville,  a small hamlet, few miles west of this village, was found dead in his stable this afternoon with his skuil crushed in by some blunt instrument. It was thought to have been the work of tramps. A daughter of the murdered man, Mrs. A. E. King is a resident of Burlington and a son, Dr. Ferris is a well known dentist in Boston.
