Two photos of Andrew and Mary to date

Help with dating these photographs please.
I think the one of the couple may be their wedding in 1908? - she especially looks pretty dressed up.
Sorry it is such a bad copy, I was sent it like this.
He was born 1882, and she 1883 if that's any help.

The other is obviously the same couple, plus pals, in more everyday clothes.

I do hope the dating people will drop by soon. . .     

. My one comment is that those BIG hats were around in the mid 1900-1910 decade and didn't last too long.    I learnt that from China.    .   So that would sit nicely with your 1908 wedding wouldn't it?

Those who know cars will be able to give a better idea of the second one!

Agree with Wiggy re the date. Also, could the group photo be a honeymoon pic. I have photos of a great aunt with her new husband and brother and sister in law on their honeymoon.

The first photo appears to be flipped, his pocket hanky is on wrong side.

The painted background in the motor car photo shows Princes Street, Edinburgh, looking east, so it seems likely that the photographer's studio would be located in, or somewhere near, that city. 

The buildings shown don't help much with a probable date but I'd guess it to be roughly around 1910.

I'm no expert, but from what I've read on here before, if it was a wedding photo wouldn't they have made a point of showing her hand with the ring on it?

It looks as if she's wearing gloves in the first photo. I think that by this time the showing of the ring wasn't so important.
