i am trying to find out a bit more about
Mary jacobs 1838 eddgefield

i have on the 1841, 1851  census

with parents
jeremiah and  Mariann Pitcher  ( mary emma, emma ) mum seems to use different names

there seems to be  a couple of mary jacobs and a mary ann jacobs about this time

What are you trying to find out to save us looking for what you already have.  Could you please give the details and reference from the 1851 census

Why has she got a different surname to her parents - is Jacobs her married name or has her mother remarried?  (if you know)

Possible 1851 - it has a Jeremiah on it

Just to differentiate Mary Ann Jacobs born same time seems to be the daughter of Henry & Mary.

This might be your Mary in 1901 Norfolk Kelling The Green

Mary Jacobs 63 head single living on own means born Edgefield

Just have to find her in between.

i will try and find the missing links .
other researchers have her married 
and i was not finding  her on the 1861 or 1871

 but i am now thinking she was not married
so i will try working backwards from 1901 census

This is her birth registration so she is Mary Ann not plain Mary
