Joseph Riddle of Ringstead
« on: Wednesday 20 September 17 14:30 BST (UK) »
Hi!
Can anyone help with any of the following?

I have a Joseph Riddle and his wife Sarah having the following children all baptised at Ringstead:

Robert Riddle baptised 27 January 1738, buried 8 April 1753

Mary Riddle baptised 12 September 1741

Sarah Riddle baptised 16 September 1744

John Riddle baptised 31 May 1747

Joseph Riddle was buried at Ringstead on 10 February 1771 (says his occupation was a Miller) and his wife Sarah was also buried at Ringstead on 19 March 1769.

Joseph and Sarahs daughter Sarah Riddle married John Abbot  on 12 October 1763 at Great Addington and had 15 children.

Cannot find any birth or marriage for Joseph Riddle, although a Robert Riddle (also a Miller) was buried at Ringstead on 12 March 1746. The only issue I can find for Robert and his wife Mary is:

Alice Riddle baptised 26 June 1720 buried 3 July 1720 Ringstead
Elizabeth Riddle baptised 26 August 1722
Mary Riddle buried 8 March 1723
Robert Riddle buried 28 April 1725

There is also a Charles  and James Riddle also mentioned at Ringstead. Charles married a lady called Catherine and had issue, and James married a lady called Mary and had issue, although once again I cannot find any baptisms for Charles and James, nor any marriages (have checked Ringstead parish records).

Any help with any of the above very much appreciated! :)
