Bookbox, I think the final surname might be Tenham.  Compare the initial letter to Dowglas.

Perhaps Falleneagle can find a T name or two in the nearby records to compare?

Thanks for posting the extra image.

The style of T I had in mind is the one found in the forenames Thomas and in the surname of Somervell Taile.

So it's helpful that the writer uses that style.  On the other hand the execution of the letter is clearer in these later examples than in the first image.

I still lean more to T than D, but suggest you investigate both.

Good advice. I lean the opposite way to HD, but then we’re on opposite sides of the globe ;)
