Thomas Walker and Rebecca
« on: Wednesday 20 September 17 19:59 BST (UK) »
This is a little vague I am sorry.

Thomas Walker was born about 1791 (going by 1841 census so round by five years).

He had several children with Rebecca including:

Rebecca Walker christening:   21 January 1820   Elm, Cambridge, England
George Walker christening:   16 October 1814   Elm, Cambridge, England
James Walker christening:   12 January 1817   Elm, Cambridge, England
Thomas Walker christening:   10 June 1823   Elm, Cambridge, England

I am trying to find his marriage to Rebecca.

He later married an Elizabeth Harrison in Wisbech in 1840.

Is Thomas the 60 year old carpenter in Elm in 1851? Born Pinchbeck, Lincolnshire.
Possibility, a marriage at Crowland, Lincs, 10 October 1811
Thomas Walker of Pinchbeck, Sojourner in this Parish

Rebecca Fish

I would have said definitely no, but...

I have a DNA match on that line that makes no sense, but goes back to a marriage in Lincolnshire of an Edward Hoy to an Elizabeth Fish.

I'll look at the carpenter in Elm, thought he died before then, any children listed?

That is him, I had thought he was dead, glad I didn't purchase his death certificate.

Thanks so much!

Well if your Thomas married Elizabeth Harrison in 1840 it looks good, as there is Mary Harrison, 14, in the household.
But!
Son, John Walker, 15, born Emneth
There's a baptism for John Thornton Walker there, 8 Nov 1835. Parents Thomas + Ann. Father a Carpenter.
So could Thomas have been married three times?

There's a burial in Emneth, 24 Feb 1833
Rebecca Walker, age 49 (if the right lady, a bit older than I thought she would be!)
