Some websites suggest Banjo Patterson's mother, Rose Isabella Barton was related to Sir Edmund Barton, the first Prime Minister of Australia. Does anyone know if and how they were related ?.

Some details about Rose and Sir Edmund Barton. I don't have time to follow through at the moment.

Born 30 December 1844 Kelso, New South Wales, Australia
Died 24 February 1893 Gladesville, New South Wales, Australia ¶
Father Robert Johnston Barton born 30 June 1809 in Ireland died 4 October 1863 (Parents Charles Barton (1760-1819)
Mother Emily Mary Darvall (1817-1909)
married to Andrew Bogle Paterson (c1833-1889)
1863 Molong, New South Wales, Australia

Sir Edmund (Toby) Barton (1849-1920), born 18 January 1849  Glebe, Sydney, father William Barton and his wife Mary Louisa, née Whydah. William had arrived in Sydney from London in 1827 as accountant to the Australian Agricultural Co.

Andrew Barton "Banjo" Paterson was born at the property "Narrambla", near Orange, New South Wales, the eldest son of Andrew Bogle Paterson, a Scottish immigrant from Lanarkshire, and Australian-born Rose Isabella Barton, related to the future first Prime Minister of Australia Edmund Barton.
