Confirmation of writing please.

Can anyone please give and opinion of what is written on the back please...I see Robt. Hayne 62w. Rgt.  Dec /74

On the front it appears to say "John You Know"

I think your "w" is "nd" as in 62nd,otherwise I agree.

There is a military record of Robert Hayne on FindMyPast which matches.

There is an 1851 census matching his birth details,probably making him the son of the Rector of Stawley,Wellington.
