Schelswig has at times been in Denmark (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schleswig-Holstein )

https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QLDZ-Z6P2
 - I think this may be Detlef and Peter's parents in 1860
This would appear to be the location: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ulsnis
Hans Brix, b. 1810, and wife Sophie Elise g. Carstensen   (g. = geb = born)
despite how the index lists them, the children are not listed under her name.
The two brothers are not with them - perhaps working somewhere else at this time?

 - if you search here for the 1845 census, county Sydslesvig, you will find
Peter Christian Brix, aged 6, and Detlef Heinrich Brix, aged 4 with this family in Boren ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boren,_Germany )

Is your Detlef/Henry/Harry the same man who later married an Annie and passed away in WA in 1898?

Peter Christian Brix

A Peter Christ Brix born Germany circa 1841 arrived in Phoenix, Arizona, around 1877 and established a soda water factory there. Later he went into the brewery and saloon business. He died in Phoenix on 22 November 1890 aged 49. An obit in the Arizona Republic records that he had just one relative in the US, a brother who ran a large stock farm in California.

Hi
The 1860 census from "FamilySearch" shows the whole family. Dolly is really Detlef. This image from another site is a little easier to read:
https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?bsid=10287#10287,256247

Here is the original 1845 census (half way down, left hand side):
