Samuel GEE, Born 1841, Mount Street, Manchester

Hello,

I wonder if someone can help trace this person through the various Census, if at all possible.

Samuel GEE was born in Mount Street, Manchester, in 1841.   I know of no parents, brothers or sisters.   So, sadly, it is just a name in isolation, except for one other feature.   He was sentenced to 12 months imprisonment in Manchester on 23/11/1857, regaining his freedom on 22/11/1858, and had an alias "RICHARDSON" (but that has not helped either!!!).

For the moment my one hope is that he was born before the 1841 Census.

There appears to be 10 Samuel Gee on 1841, only 1 Samuel Gee listed on 1841 born in Manchester, details as follows

This reference covers Myrtle Street, Manchester, which from the A-Z Manchester appears to be some way from Mount Street in the City Centre.......I have set it aside as a possibility though.

Where does the information that Samuel was born in Mount Street Manchester in 1840 come from?.
Freebmd has only births for a Samuel Gee born between 1839 to 1842 registered in Chorlton District which then covered large parts of Central Manchester.

Hello,

Looking at the enumerator's district in 1841, Myrtle Street was in the area of Medlock St/Chester St and Clarendon Street which makes it closer to the present Mount Street.
That all depends however on if Mount Street is the correct one and also if that Samuel is the correct one too

I can't see Samuel later and of course quite a bit  of the 1851 is damaged.

What other information does this record give.  I can only see two records for him in 1857 neither of which give a place of birth.

It also gives last place of abode as Alma Street, Manchester.
Under Name of parents or next of kin it has what looks like - No friends.  His occupation was Weaver

The entry on the next line for an unrelated crime has a Thomas Warburton who is also given an alias of Richardson
