I am descended from Samuel Bysouth (1795) son of John and Ann.

This would be right for John and Ann Parker.

The Wright marriage is 1797.

Somewhere I have a copy of the 1799 census for Reed and Barkway that lists all the Bysouth families.

There could have been 2 marriages - or they could be 2 completely different John Bysouths.

My wife is also a direct descendant from John (1762) & Samuel (1795) which as Big Ted says would be correct for Ann Parker being the mother of Samuel.
It would be interesting to know the details from the 1799 census.

The 1799 census of Reed shows the following John and Ann Bysouth's:-

Bysouth John Labourer
Ann his Wife
Mary age 1 his daughter
William Bysouth lodger.

Bysouth John Labourer
Ann his wife
Samuel 4
George Inf.

There are 7 Bysouth families listed.

Working from the 1799 census it would seem that John, Ann with children Samuel (4) & George        ( infant) are the couple who were married in 1793 which is John & Ann Parker.

This means that the John & Ann mentioned in the 1841 & 1851 censuses must be John & Ann wright & therefore not the parents of Samuel.

I could not find any other John & Ann Bysouths in the 1841 census so possibly they both died before 1841
