Hi John, I have good news. I think I can now add a little light on the Grice family history. You sent me an email responding to one I had posted awhile ago. I may have got some of that wrong or gone up the wrong street Here's the amended history:

My great grand mother Fanny Elizabeth Grice married Rowland Hammonds - one of their children was Lillian Ira Hammonds (my grandmother) who had five children. Married John Thomas Mayer, they had five children. I cannot remember the first child's name (he died as an infant), Jean, Joan (my Mom twins), Jack (also had twins) and Michael. All unfortunately deceased. I'm the eldest of Joan's three girls Karen, Yasmin and Julie. I know my aunty Jean very often talked about a family living in Widnes but up to now haven't been able to see who it was.
