Rules for obtaining a Australian marriage

Hi
Does anyone know the rules on obtaining Australian marriage. A friend tried obtaining one but was told he didn't meet the criteria.

You can obtain certs if they are listed on the BDM websites. Different cutoffs for different States.

What year and State are they looking at?

It was in 1941 in New South Wales

Anyone can purchase a 1941 NSW marriage certs online.

You can use a transcription agent which is cheaper and you will receive the cert by email.
