Marriage ages
« on: Sunday 24 September 17 17:54 BST (UK) »
William Lyons married Sarah Elizabeth Cattle at St Saviour in 1882, I think Sarah may have only been 16 could anyone tell me how old William was.
He dies either later that year or in 1883 as Sarah marries again in 1883

The marriage certificate only gives William as full age  :'(

Many ancestry trees but no one has the answer to that question.

Thank you all for your reply's.

I've now worked out that Sarah Elizabeth was 17 when they married she was born in the June quarter 1865 and they married in the September quarter 1882.

And a widow and re-married by the time she was 18.
