Can I ask please
Have I got this right, if I visit Edinburgh and visit the big record centre there, can I look up records for the day for £15 ?

Yes. although it also applies to the other centres and you may have to book a place in advance

From experience it is always advisable to book your place in advance and at only £15 for the day it is amazing.

You can print records for 30p per copy for the following -

1.   Births over 100 years
2.   Deaths over 50 years
3.   Marriages over 75 years

Enjoy your day and the café is reasonable.

If you live nearer Glasgow the Mitchell Library has a Scotlands People search room and it cost's the same ...Enjoy your day... :) definitely the cheapest way to do it if you don't have far to travel
